Both actress were dunked in a tank of water by Chris Hardwick after raising over $40 million to benefit children's charities.

AceShowbiz - Oscar winner Anne Hathaway and Olivia Munn were dunked in a tank of water during the "Red Nose Day Special" in America on Thursday, May 25.

Munn started off the TV special seated above the water, but she was dunked as Hathaway appeared. The "Les Miserables" star was persuaded to take her place by host Chris Hardwick, who told viewers he would drop her if the amount raised by donors passed $40 million (GBP30 million).

By the end of the broadcast, over $42 million (GBP31 million) was raised.

The telethon also featured Ed Sheeran, Jack Black, Ben Stiller, Julia Roberts, Kelly Clarkson, and Kristen Bell, among others.
