The 3-year-old British royal sweetly kisses her newborn little brother in one of adorable new official photos shared by Kensington Palace.

AceShowbiz - Princess Charlotte is a sweet big sister to her little brother Prince Louis. Kensington Palace took to its official Instagram page on Saturday, May 5 to share the first official photo of the third son of Prince William and Kate Middleton with his sister, showing the 3-year-old tot adorably kissing her newborn brother while holding him in her arms.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share two photographs of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, taken by The Duchess at Kensington Palace," read the caption.‬" This image was taken on 2nd May, on Princess Charlotte's third Birthday.‬ ‪The Duke and Duchess would like to thank members of the public for their kind messages following the birth of Prince Louis, and for Princess Charlotte's third birthday.‬"

While their eldest sibling Prince George wasn't featured in the picture, he wasn't completely left out. Turns out the navy blue cardigan that Charlotte wore in the photo is a hand-me-down from her big brother. George previously wore the sweater from Spanish brand Fina Ejerique in 2016 for a photo shoot with Queen Elizabeth and her six other grandchildren and great-grandchildren to mark her 90th birthday.

Moreover, Charlotte's pose in the new picture is similar to George's pose in his first picture with his little sister which was taken in May 2015, when the British royal was just a few days old. The then almost-two-year-old prince was sweetly gazing at his little sister whom he was holding in the image.

In addition to Charlotte's first shot with Louis, the Kensington Palace released a solo shot of the infant.

Kate Middleton gave birth to Louis on April 23 at St. Mary's Hospital in London. His full name Louis Arthur Charles is after his great-great-great-uncle Lord Mountbatten and grandfather Charles, Prince of Wales.

While George and Charlotte are expected to serve as page boy and bridesmaid respectively at their uncle Prince Harry's wedding to Meghan Markle on May 19, their little brother Louis will not attend his uncle's wedding, the Kensington Palace officials have confirmed.
