AceShowbiz - After "The Nun" released its first poster featuring demonic nun Valak, this time, "Halloween" releases its first picture featuring iconic slayer Michael Myer. This will add to the list of scary posters released this year.
The picture sees Michael wearing his white wrinkly mask. Michael, who is roughed up with aging scars, gives the camera the side-eye. The way he looks implies that he will not hesitate to kill his victims and those who try to stop him. Just by looking at the picture, everyone knows that they should immediately run whenever they run into the man and be prepared for the nightmare that follows.

As the original flick's fans remember, Michael's mask is different from what they saw years ago. However, that is not the only thing changing about Michael a.k.a. The Shape as he also roams another place and moves differently. It is said that the masked slayer will start walking around the town of Haddonfield, Illinois, with "cat-like" quality.
In an interview with Halloween Daily News, James Jude Courtney talks about his discussion with director David Gordon Green, "We talked about the character and we talked about movement. He said, 'Look, I really see a certain-yes, The Shape moves a certain way and Nick Castle was the one that created that iconic sort of presence, but I have this idea that there's a certain cat-like quality to the efficiency and movement.' "
Despite all the changes in the movie, The Shape will still face Laurie Strode as in the original film. The story details of the movie are still unknown. In the original film, The Shape was an escaped prisoner charged over killing his older sister in 1963. On 1978's Halloween night, high school student Laurie got a call from her friend Lynda, but before even speaking, Lynda was stabbed by Michael. Laurie rushed to Lynda's house only to face the killer.
Speaking to Digital Spy, producer Jason Blum is really excited about the reboot. He says, "I saw a cut of it two nights ago. I think David did a terrific job. He did everything I hoped he would do which is respect the DNA of the franchise and bring something totally new to it and we're really very, very excited for people to see it."
Adding to the praise, original movie director John Carpenter says, "It picks up after the first one and it pretends that none of the other [sequels] were made. It's gonna be fun. There's a really talented director and it was well-written. I'm impressed."
The movie script is written by David alongside Danny McBride and Jeff Fradley. "Halloween" will see the return of Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie. Meanwhile, Michael is played by James and Nick. Judy Greer also joins the cast as Laurie's daughter Karen Strode.
"Halloween" will hit U.S. theaters on October 19.
