Besides Barack and Michelle Obama, it is also said that President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will not be invited to the May 19 wedding.

AceShowbiz - After such a long speculation whether or not former U.S. President Barack and Michelle Obama will be attending the upcoming royal wedding for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the answer is here. Despite the close friendship between the British prince and the former U.S. president, it turns out the Obamas are not among the expected 600 guests.

A Kensington Palace spokesman said on Tuesday, April 10, "It has been decided that an official list of political leaders -- both U.K. and international -- is not required for Prince Harry and Ms. Markle's wedding. Her Majesty's Goverment was consulted on this decision, which was taken by The Royal Household." With that, it means that President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are also not invited to the May 19 wedding at Windsor Castle.

Previously, it was reported that Harry wanting to invite Barack and Michelle was causing "a lot of nervousness" in the whole U.K. government. They reportedly worried that it might cause tension and offended Trump if his predecessor snagged an invite when he did not. "Trump could react very badly if the Obamas get to a Royal wedding before he has had a chance to meet the Queen," said a source.

It is said that the guests are long-standing friends whom Harry and Meghan have known for years. "Those in attendance will be people who one or both of the couple has a existing direct relationship with," shares a royal source.

Although the Obamas are not invited to the nuptials, the source reveals that the couple is planning to pay a visit to them soon. "Both the couples look forward to seeing each other soon," the source says.

Barack and Harry's friendship is known to all, with them showing off their bromance while watching a wheelchair basketball match at the Invictus Games in Toronto last year.

"They were both chatting to the two ladies next to me. I think they're both nurses in Germany," financial analyst Jessica Stickle, who also joined the pair in the front row, shared. "Harry and Barack were laughing a lot with each other and seemed like best buds. They were cheering and Barack was giving the thumbs up so he seemed really happy with the result."
