Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy release a video in response to fans' vote for the spoilers, which turns out to be a joke.

AceShowbiz - Don't let your anticipation get too high! "Westworld" creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy previously offered to spoil the entire season 2 to fight unofficial spoilers that may spread ahead of the season premiere. Since many fans have voted for the official spoilers to be released, the duo has responded to the demand with a video that supposedly spoils the whole storyline of season 2.
The video, which goes with a warning which reads, "FULL SPOILERS for Westworld second season. Proceed with caution," and "Contains violence," opens with a shot of Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) waking up on the beach among strangers. He's picked up by Delos' head of security, Karl Strand.
A narrator explains that Bernard can't remember what happened and how he got there, and it irritates Karl. As Bernard walks through the beach where lifeless bodies are scattered around, he begins to regain his memory.
Bernard is then suddenly transported to Westworld, where he sees Dolores. The scene then freezes and shows Evan Rachel Wood, who plays Dolores, as herself, singing while being accompanied by another woman who plays piano.
The scene then turns to black to reveal a message from Nolan and Joy. "Dear Reddit, From all of us here at Westworld, thank you for watching. We hope you enjoy season two..."
Instead of getting upset, fans who have watched the video responded to the fake spoilers with positive and funny comments like, "This is both clever and entertaining. Bravo!, " "Wow. I wouldn't have guessr that's the direction the would go. This season will be amazing" and "I love that dog ," referring to the dog that appears from the 3:07 mark until the end of the approximately 25-minute video.
Earlier on Monday, April 9, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy wrote on Reddit AMA, "If you guys agree, we're going to post a video that lays out the plot (and twist and turns) of season 2. Everything. The whole sordid thing. Up front. That way, the members of the community here who want the season spoiled for them can watch ahead, and then protect the rest of the community, and help to distinguish between what's 'theory' and what's spoiler."
They added, " 'Theories' can actually be spoilers, and the line between the two is confusing. It's something we've been thinking about since last season. Fans of 'Game of Thrones', for instance, rallied around and protected the secrets of the narrative in part because they already knew those secrets (through season 5)."
When asked for a comment about the duo's plan, HBO said in a statement, "This is an initiative from the 'Westworld' showrunners. We suggest you stay tuned to Reddit for their next move."
