The Cristina Yang depicter discusses her possible return to the long-running medical drama after departing at the end of season 10 in May 2014.

AceShowbiz - It's been almost four years and fans of "Grey's Anatomy" seemingly would love to see Sandra Oh, who exited the long-running medical drama in 2014, returning. While there's no official statement of the fan-favorite to reprise her role as Cristina Yang, the actress has weighed in on her possible return in a new interview.

While promoting her new BBC series "Killing Eve", Sandra is asked if she ever considers to come back to "Grey's Anatomy". "It's so funny. Every year, it's like I hear that I'm coming back to the show," she says to Entertainment Weekly. "Like for real. But what I realize is, in a way that I'm really pleased and grateful for, is that the show is continuing on with its life, and that the show and the people who are still attached to the show are still attached to Cristina. It means a lot to me."

The Golden Globe Award winner later discusses Cristina's storyline when she exited the ABC series after season 10 finale in May 2014, talking about whether or not she wants to wrap up the character's storyline. "I will say it's hard to beat that ending, because what I also realize is that it keeps it open in so many ways where you can continue on having that relationship with Cristina," she opens up.

"I'm not sure. I guess I can't really answer it either way where I'm sitting right now, because I'm so committed to Eve," she adds. "The idea of stepping back into the Cristina shoes, it doesn't feel right to me right now. But honestly, who knows how long 'Grey' 's is gonna go?"

Sandra joined the series from the first season as the researcher, Chief Medical Office and Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Klausman Institute for Medical Research. In addition to a Golden Globe Award, Sandra earned two Screen Guild Awards and five nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Cristina.
