In the Tuesday, March 20 suit, McDougal demands to be released from the 2016 legal agreement which barred her from speaking about the affair with POTUS back in 2006.

AceShowbiz - Former Playboy model Karen McDougal, who previously claimed that she had an affair with President Donald Trump over a decade ago, is seemingly determined to get her story out. The 46-year-old is even taking things to the court as she files a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court so that she can break silence on the alleged affair with POTUS.

In the Tuesday, March 20 suit, McDougal demands to be released from the legal agreement which barred her from speaking about the affair. According to the complaint, she takes aim at The National Enquirer's parent company, American Media Inc., claiming that they paid her $150,000 for the story but never published it. McDougal and her legal team also state that Trump's lawyer, Michael D. Cohen, was secretly involved in her negotiations with AMI.

Wall Street Journal previously reported that the media company joined forces with a well-known tabloid for a maneuver called "catch and kill." The agreement in 2016 was said to be a mean for the tabloid to effectively mute McDougal on the issue.

AMI general counsel Cameron Stracher denied the allegations, revealing to Daily News that McDougal is "already free respond to press inquiries. That's been true since 2016." In addition, McDougal accuses her own lawyer at that time of being a part of the company's effort to shut the story down. She claims that her lawyer tried to mislead her about the nature of the deal.

"AMI lied to me, made empty promises, and repeatedly intimidated and manipulated me," McDougal, who was named runner up as the sexiest Playmate of the 1990s after Pamela Anderson, said in a statement. "I just want the opportunity to set the record straight and move on with my life, free from this company, its executives, and its lawyers."

Following the lawsuit, Trump's wife Melania is allegedly "embarassed, angry, humiliated, and hurt that yet another woman is coming forward with a story of Donald's infidelities." A source tells HollywoodLife.com, "Melania first planned on leaving Donald after he was caught joking with Billy Bush, saying disgusting things about grabbing women's privates, but the timing has never been right."

"Melania can't stand the stress of being married to a president that appears to be a cheater. She is now struggling because everyday a new horrible revelation rocks her marriage. It is a terrible place for her to be," the source continues.

It was previously revealed that McDougal first met with the reality TV star-turned-president at a pool party at the Playboy Mansion in June 2006. Donald was at the Los Angeles mansion to film an episode of "The Apprentice".

McDougal alleged that Trump "immediately took a liking to me, kept talking to me--telling me how beautiful I was, etc. It was so obvious that a Playmate Promotions exec said, 'Wow, he was all over you--I think you could be his next wife.' " McDougal and Trump later met at the Beverly Hills Hotel for dinner in a private bungalow.

"We talked for a couple hours--then, it was 'ON'! We got naked + had sex," Karen continues claiming, adding that the president later offered her money. "I looked at him (+ felt sad) + said, 'No thanks--I'm not 'that girl.' I slept w/you because I like you--NOT for money'--He told me 'you are special.' "
