'Justin and Selena decided to take a break to give her family some more time to heal and take in the idea of her and Justin being a couple again,' says a source.

AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez's mom Mandy Teefey is reportedly the main reason behind the actress and Justin Bieber's decision to take a break in their relationship. As reported before when the "Wolves" singer and the Canadian pop star just started to rekindle their romance, Mandy was against it.
It appears that now the pair decided to show their respect to Selena's family by giving her family more time to accept the idea of Selena and Justin being together again. "Selena and Justin decided to take a break mainly because of Selena's mom and her disapproval of Justin," a source tells Us Weekly.
The so-called insider adds, "Justin's family loves Selena, but Selena's family has put her in a very conflicting spot because they still don't trust Justin. Selena has tried to convince her family that Justin has changed ... but her family just isn't budging right now."
The source goes on explaining, "Her relationship with Justin has really affected her relationship with her mom, and it's been hard for her because she is super close with her mom. Her mom was her rock when she was having her health complications. Justin and Selena decided to take a break to give her family some more time to heal and take in the idea of her and Justin being a couple again."
Another source says another contributing factor to the on-/off-couple's decision to take a break is Justin's indifference. The source says the "Sorry" hitmaker "doesn't care about anyone but himself," and "the second she saw it, she walked away, especially now with her health. She knows she doesn't need him."
Selena and Justin were last seen together in February, when they attended the wedding of Justin's father Jeremy with Chelsey Robelo in Jamaica. The young lovers showed a lot of PDA during the tropical trip, with the two spotted canoodling as they hung out by the pool in an outing.
On March 9, the former Disney darling was spotted in Texas, sparking a rumor that she might have gone home to reconcile with her mom after being estranged since she reunited with Justin. However, fans suggested that Selena was in town to support her cousin Priscilla Deleon, who recently called off her wedding to fiance Jay Cosme due to his cheating on her.
Justin, meanwhile, enjoyed his solo time playing soccer in the rain in Los Angeles on March 10. Wearing a hooded sweatshirt, navy Adidas jersey and matching shorts, the 24-year-old singer got drenched in a downpour while taking part in the soccer game.
