The 'A Wrinkle in Time' star, who went into prayers to ask whether or not she is supposed to run for president, almost chokes on her laughter after she finally gets a sign.

AceShowbiz - Oprah Winfrey may have got the sign she has been waiting for to run for president. While stopping by "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" on Wednesday night, March 7, a figure of deity appeared before her. The deity, whom Stephen Colbert defined as "God", showed a "Run!" sign to the actress.

Previously, fans and her closest friends called for Oprah to consider a run for the White House following her inspiring speech at the 2018 Golden Globes. Considering this, she went into prayers, "God, if you think I'm supposed to run, you gotta tell me, and it has to be so clear that not even I can miss it." She said that she had not gotten the sign.

Eventually, there came "God" on the show who greeted them, "Oprah, Stephen, what's up? Hey!" Looking at the figure on the ceiling, Oprah laughed. "I'm sorry about this, Oprah. I apologize. God stops by every once in a while," Stephen explained to Oprah. "Can I help you, Lord? I'm kind of in the middle of talking to somebody important."

"God" then said that he was a huge fan of Oprah. The actress replied, "That's great to hear. I'm a big fan of yours, too, God. I really am." The figure bantered back, "Wow, Oprah knows who I am? I can't wait to tell Jesus."

Stephen continued by hinting to her prayer, "Is there something you'd like to tell Oprah?" to which the figure replied, "I hear thou seekest a sign?" "God" held up a sign that read "Run!" and said, "Well, is this clear enough?" Oprah nearly choked on her laughter and then replied, "Well, all I can say, God, is that run is now a part of my exercise routine, I can tell you that."

Then, the figure blinked for a second and came back wearing a hat and T-shirt with a slogan that read, "Oprah 2020." "Oprah 2020! Yes she can!" the figure said. "You asked for it, there it is, Oprah. A big endorsement," Stephen pointed out.

However, Oprah replied, "It's not something I've ever seen myself doing. It's not the kind of job that you can have without fully devoting yourself to it 100 percent," referring to the possible president run.

Not willing to lose it, "God" argued, "Not really. Have you seen this White House?" to which Oprah replied, "God, take it from me, Oprah, it's going to be okay." The figure said before signing off, "Everything's going to be okay and I'm sure you're going to find someone you're just inspired by in 2020."
