The Mouse House has announced a switch to release dates of some films including 'Star Wars Episode IX', 'Mulan' and 'Avengers: Infinity War'.

AceShowbiz - Walt Disney Studios has announced a switch to release dates of some of its films. The switch gives a chance for the audiences to see some movies earlier than their previously scheduled releases, while some other titles will arrive later than initially planned. Those which get some adjustment to their release dates include such film as "Star Wars Episode IX", live-action "Mulan" and "Avengers: Infinity War".
"Star Wars Episode IX" which is directed by J.J. Abrams is delayed. The third and final film in the sequel trilogy was originally scheduled to be released on May 24, 2019. However, it has been pushed back to December 20, 2019. The same also happens to "Mulan" live-action movie. The movie is pushed back to March 27, 2020 from its previous release date of November 2, 2018.
On the other hand, "Avengers: Infinity War" written by Christoper Markus and Stephen McFeely moves up. As mentioned on "The Avengers" official Twitter account, the film is moved up from May 4 to April 27. What's more interesting is the release date applies to all theaters worldwide.

There's a rumor mentioning that the switch is due to some reasons and it relates to "Deadpool 2". The rumor says that the new date can give "Avengers: Infinity War" an extra week before the film starring Ryan Reynolds hits theaters. The move also gives the studio an extra week to focus on promoting "Solo: A Star Wars Story". In addition, it is said that Disney is concerned about spoilers.
Disney recently also announced a release date for its other movie, "Artemis Fowl". Directed by Kenneth Branagh, it is scheduled to be released on August 9, 2019. Meanwhile, "Nicole" is removed from the studio's schedule after previously set to arrive on November 8 in the same year.
