A source reveals that the 26-year-old British singer will perform during the evening reception if he does accept the offer.

AceShowbiz - Details about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding are slowly revealed. Now, many people are curious about who will get the honor to perform at the wedding. Rumor has it, Ed Sheeran has been asked to sing a few songs at the upcoming nuptials.
Victoria Arbiter, the royal correspondent for Entertainment Tonight, reveals to the webloid that the British singer has yet to confirm, but "I'm not sure you turn down Prince Harry and Meghan Markle." She notes, "People love his romantic love songs so he's an ideal candidate for that first dance and I think Harry has always enjoyed Ed Sheeran."
If he does accept the offer, Arbiter believes that Ed will perform during the evening reception. "This is where everyone's really going to get down, this for close friends and family," she says. "It's going to be hosted by Prince Charles and so I think if Ed Sheeran is going to be performing any of them, it's going to be [the evening reception]."
An insider tells Us Weekly that Harry personally asked the "Perfect" hitmaker to sing at his upcoming wedding. "Prince Harry has personally requested Ed perform at his wedding," so the insider tells the publication.
Ed previously expressed interest in performing at the royal wedding. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight last December, the 26-year-old singer said that he would perform at the ceremony "if I was free."
"I get asked this all the time like I know the royal family. I've met Harry once!" he said at the time. "[And] that was in 2011 at his grans' Jubilee, and it was like, 'Hey.' I barely know him!"
Meghan and Harry are set to tie the knot on May 19 at St. George's Chapel at Windsor. Yesterday, Kensington Palace unveiled details about Harry and Meghan's upcoming nuptials, hinting that it would be a fairytale wedding.
