At the upcoming May royal wedding, the 36-year-old former 'Suits' actress will reportedly be taking over her father's, Thomas, speech duty since Thomas is very private.

AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle seemingly is poised to bring some adjustments to the British royal tradition. According to The Sunday Times, the fiancee of Prince Harry will give a speech at her and Harry's upcoming wedding, breaking the royal tradition.

In England, it is usually the groom, father of the bride and the best man who make speeches after the ceremony. Although the bride does deliver speech sometimes, it is still uncommon to do.

It is said that Meghan will be taking over her father's, Thomas, speech duty since Thomas is very private.

The news outlet reports, the 36-year-old beauty will be making a sweet tribute to her soon-to-be husband Harry in her speech which may also include "a couple of jokes" along the way. She will also include thanks to the Queen and her family.

"She wants to have the chance to thank her husband and everyone who has supported them," a source tells The Sunday Times. "Harry thinks it's a great idea."

This is not the first time for the former "Suits" actress to be breaking ground as she's the first American woman of color who will be married to the royal family.

With almost everything about the upcoming nuptials being new and different, the royal wedding is no doubt highly anticipated by many. Meghan reportedly has chosen a wedding dress designer. An insider also claimed that Meghan already had her first fitting at Kensington Palace. "This was Meghan's first fitting with the designer and a chance for her and Jessica to look through a number of different designs," said the source. The fitting was reportedly a top-secret with only five people knowing about the identity of the selected designer.

"During the appointment, Meghan was able to narrow down what she liked and disliked," the source explained. The source added that some of the "Suits" alum's "favorite design elements includes embroidery and sleeves."

Meghan and Harry are set to tie the knot on May 19 at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
