The Toronto-born rapper has debuted a two-song EP titled 'Scary Hours', featuring the new tracks 'God's Plan' and 'Diplomatic Immunity'.

AceShowbiz - It has been almost two years since Drake released his last full-length album "Views", but fans have been treated to new music from the "Hotline Bling" hitmaker. The Canadian rapper surprise-released a two-song EP titled "Scary Hours" on Saturday, January 20.

It consists of new tracks "God's Plan" and "Diplomatic Immunity", which are now available to stream on all platforms. Produced by Cardo, Boi-1da and Yex, "God's Plan" is an uptempo track that is poised to become an instant hit, with its playful beat and sing-songy verses.

"God's plan, God's plan/ I hold back, sometimes I won't (yeah)/ I feel good, sometimes I don't (ayy, don't)," Drizzy raps during the chorus. "Bad things/ It's a lot of bad things/ That they wishin' and wishin' and wishin' and wishin'/ They wishin' on me."

Meanwhile, "Diplomatic Immunity" has a more orchestral feel, with strings and a piano line. He raps about his former fling Jennifer Lopez in the said song. "Booked a private room at Wylie's, waiter twistin' the cork/I got multi-colored rings like the Olympics, of course/ At award shows, cuttin' through the tension, of course/ Girls huggin' me then askin' me, 'what scent that is, boy?' " he raps. He adds in another part, "2010 was when I lost my halo/ 2017 I lost a J. Lo/ A Rotterdam trip had me on front page, though."

This is not the first time Drake is referencing to J.Lo in his song. He raps on his 2017 track "Free Smoke", "I drunk text J. Lo/ Old numbers so I bounce back/ Boy Wonder gotta bounce back."

Prior to the new songs' debut, Drake teased them on Instagram by posting an artwork of "Scary Hours" and writing along with it, "GODS PLAN AND DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY LIVE ON ALL PLATFORMS WORLDWIDE MIDNIGHT."

It marks Drake's new music since he debuted his single "Signs" in June 2017 for a Louis Vuitton fashion show. He also dropped his playlist "More Life" in March 2017. The commercial mixtape, featuring tracks like "Fake Love" and "Passionfruit", received generally positive reviews from critics and became the most-streamed album in a single day on Spotify.
