British intelligence officers are monitoring the instant messaging application Telegram which ISIS has used to make the threats against Prince George.

AceShowbiz - ISIS supporters have made threats against Prince George. In a chilling message on an encrypted instant-messaging app, Telegram, the Islamic State militants posted a picture of the 4-year-old son of Prince William and Kate Middleton, along with a photo of his school, Thomas's Battersea, in Battersea, south London.

The post also included the school's address with the caption "school starts early." The chilling message read, "Even the royal family will not be left alone." The encrypted transmission also featured words in Arabic taken from a jihadi song which translate as, "When war comes with the melody of bullets, we descend on disbelief, desiring retaliation."

Cybersecurity expert Barry Spielman told the Daily Star, "This threat to Prince George is chilling." He added, "Our intelligence suggests that these threats are to be taken seriously."

The palace has not released a statement regarding the ISIS threats, but British intelligence officers are now monitoring the instant messaging application Telegram which ISIS has used to make the threats against Prince George.

People have been enraged by the threats. "There are threats to kill Prince George?! Wtf he's just a child!!! What is wrong with some people?!" one wrote. Another added, "I pray and hope nothing that sickening ever happens to our Prince George."

Prince George's school, Thomas's Battersea, previously raised concern about its security after a woman filmed herself wandering the corridors unchallenged just a few days before term began. A few weeks later, another woman was arrested at the school on suspicion of attempted burglary.

Prince George is the latest member of the British royal family whose life is threatened by ISIS. The militant group threatened Queen Elizabeth ahead of the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II in 2015. Just last month, the group challenged Prince Harry to a fight via video.
