The clip suggests that Maximus' coup d'etat may also be driven by a personal reason as he can be seen propositioning his brother's wife Medusa before getting choked by her hair.

AceShowbiz - ABC has released a new clip of upcoming "Marvel's Inhumans" featuring Maximus (Iwan Rheon) and Medusa (Serinda Swan). The newly-released clip explains why the Queen of the Inhumans attacks the former with her signature red hair in the San Diego Comic-Con trailer. It also suggests that Maximus' coup d'etat may also be driven by a personal reason.

The clip sees the Mad propositioning the wife of his brother Black Bolt (Anson Mount). "Do you ever think about your life would be better with me?" Maximus says to Medusa. "Because I do," he adds as he places his hand on Medusa's cheek.

But Medusa is so quick to grab his hand and put it down. "Stop!" she warns her husband's notorious brother. "If I told Black Bolt," she continues, before Maximus cuts her and says, "Why? Why do you tell my brother?" Medusa seemingly has had enough of Maximus as she starts to showcase her Inhumans abilities, choking him with her prehensile hair.

"It's amazing," Swan previously said of seeing Medusa's hair come to life in the trailer. "Everybody saw the hair last night at the same time I saw the hair [for the first time], so I was sitting there going-I know what happened when it first came out-and now I'm sitting in a room full of people that love her and might attack. I know Marvel, they are incredible. When they do CGI, it blows me away, so I know that it was going to be amazing."
