KISS' Frontman Gene Simmons Reacts to Texas Calf Resembling Him
Celebrity

The newborn calf, named Genie after the rocker, is being hailed a miracle and has become an Internet sensation.

AceShowbiz - KISS' frontman Gene Simmons has a doppelganger, but it's not what you expected. A newborn calf bears a striking resemblance to the rocker when he's sporting the face paint onstage, with its black-and-white markings.

The calf, which was born Friday, July 28 at a ranch near Kerrville, Texas, is named Genie in honor of Gene. It's being hailed a miracle, not only because of its resemblance to Gene, but also because it was born unexpectedly of a 25-year-old cow which had been barren for three years.

Heather Taccetta, who lives at the ranch with her family, says the calf belongs to her grandmother. Heather, who works at Cowboy Steak House, assures everyone that the calf won't be sold for slaughter. The steakhouse will make it its mascot and place a statue of Genie at the front of the restaurant. Genie will be transported to a Dude Ranch and "will probably live on forever."

Gene has reacted upon seeing a picture of the calf. "This is real, folks!!! Calf called Genie is born on Texas ranch and looks EXACTLY like Kiss rocker Gene Simmons," he expressed his admiration on Twitter, adding a link to the story.
