AceShowbiz - After months of dating, Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn are apparently still not ready to go public with their romance. The couple made a rare appearance together in New York City on Tuesday, July 25, but tried to go undercover when paparazzi surrounded them to take pictures.
The 27-year-old pop superstar and her actor beau looked shy as they covered up with umbrellas and hoodies while heading to the gym. Taylor wore a black hoodie, black leggings and white tennis shoes while carrying a black backpack. As for Joe, the 26-year-old British star donned a black jacket, a blue hoodie, grey sweats and brown boots. He also carried a grey backpack.
According to E! News, Taylor and Joe spent the last few days in Rhode Island, where they paid a visit to Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, before heading back to her apartment in NYC. The "Shake It Off" hitmaker has been trying her best to hide from paparazzi lately.
"They had a lot of security," a source told the site. "They loaded the cars, and after that, they snuck her out through the back. They set it up to look like she would come out through the front, but they snuck out the back." The source added, "[Taylor and Joe] came out very covered up in black hoodies but walked closely together. She hooked her arm around his as they got in the car...They are making a huge effort to cover her up."
Another source said of what Taylor has been up to lately, "She is keeping a very low profile and plans on staying that way as long as she can. She is in a happy place, even though she seems like she is hiding. She is taking care of her body and is really healthy."
The so-called insider also dished on Taylor's relationship with Joe, "Joe and Taylor are doing great. He is different than the other guys she has dated. He is very low-key and just a chill guy overall. They get along great and really got to know each other other over the past few months."
The source explained why Taylor has been keeping her relationship private this time, "Taylor is just taking extra precautionary measures in this relationship so her life is not out to the world like her past relationships."
