AceShowbiz - Is Celine Dion finally ready to start a new relationship after the death of her husband Rene Angelil? The 49-year-old singer sparked dating rumors with backup dancer Pepe Munoz after they were spotted hanging out together in Paris.
Pepe toured with Celine during her international summer tour after her personal assistant called him and said that the singer needed a dancer. Besides hanging out together in the City of Light, Pepe attended the Giambattista Valli fashion show with her.
However, a source told TMZ that their relationship "is completely platonic." The dancer was seen attending fashion shows with the "Because You Loved Me" songstress because he has a side job as a fashion illustrator.
While Celine and Pepe are obviously good friends who support each other, it seems like their friendship won't turn into romance anytime soon. The "I'm Your Angel" singer previously stated that she wouldn't date for a while. "Now it is definitely too soon for me. I am definitely in love with him [Rene], married to him," she said in an interview with The Sun. "He's the love of my life. It's very difficult for me to see myself with another person. The love that I have for him, I live it every day. And as a woman, we do have emotions and feelings that come and go. And it's always with him."
Meanwhile, Pepe talked about their friendship in a recent interview with Vogue. "I'm going to be honest, I was freaking out [during first dance practice with Celine]," he recalled. "Then five minutes into it, she makes you feel welcomed, like you belong to the family, and like you're part of the group."
The Spanish hunk also joined Celine's Vogue video shoot, and he was amazed by how she carried herself. "She's absolutely fearless with her style, her dancing, her performing, and as a person in her clothes," he gushed. "She gives them a surprise and a shock, because the looks are outrageously wonderful. She wears the clothes, the clothes don't wear her, and that's super important."
