The 'Raise Your Voice' actress was out of the country on a family vacation with her son when the robbery happened.

AceShowbiz - Hilary Duff's Beverly Hills home was burglarized last week while she was away on vacation. The 29-year-old actress' Canadian getaway was interrupted after she learned that someone broke through the door of her house and stole over $100,000 worth of jewelry, TMZ reported.
Hilary's L.A. residence was allegedly targeted by robbers after she shared a number of holiday pictures on Instagram. Although she was shaken up a bit by the news, she was relieved that no one was hurt during the burglary. According to Daily Mail, the actress used this incident as a lesson to upgrade her house's security system to prevent future break-ins.
"This is a scary and upsetting situation for anyone to go through, but Hilary is thankful that her family, her staff, her home and her pets are all safe," Hilary's rep said. "That said, she has a significant security team in place that will work with the authorities on this incident and handle security measures moving forward."
Hilary was vacationing in Canada with her five-year-old son, Luca, during the robbery. She has been sharing photos and videos from the trip on her Instagram account. Last Thursday, the actress posted a video which saw her showing off gymnastics skill as she dived into the water.
The mother of one also shared a sweet black-and-white pic which found her sporting a revealing bodysuit and a large hat while sitting on what appeared to be a dock with her son. She captioned it, "Losing track of days. Collecting mosquito bites."
