The new key art teases the all-out war between the Alexandria-Hilltop-Kingdom coalition and the Saviors led by Negan.

AceShowbiz - AMC has officially announced the premiere date of "The Walking Dead" season 8. The new season of the hit zombie-themed drama series will arrive just in time for Halloween, on Sunday, October 22 to be exact.

Along with the premiere date announcement, a Comic-Con key art for the show is released ahead of the convention, which will run on July 20-23. The key art features almost all of the key characters, with Rick (Andrew Lincoln) going head to head against Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

A San Diego Comic-Con panel for the show will be held on Friday, July 21 in Hall H. Stars Lincoln, Morgan, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Melissa McBride, Seth Gilliam, Alanna Masterson, Khary Payton and Chandler Riggs are expected to attend the panel.

The show, however, recently canceled all press events at the convention except its panel and autograph sessions, following the death of stuntman John Bernecker. Production was temporarily shut down last week after Bernecker fell more than 20 feet from a balcony onto a concrete floor when filming a scene with Austin Amelio (Dwight) on the set in Atlanta, Georgia.
