AceShowbiz - An "Outlander" season 3 trailer that you have been waiting for is here. The video follows Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) who struggle to live without their better halves following their separation in the second season finale.
Claire returns to her 20th century husband Frank (Tobias Menzies). She welcomes her child with Jamie, Brianna, whom Frank raises as his. Despite his unconditional love for Brianna, Frank is bothered by the fact that Claire can't stop thinking about Jamie. "You couldn't look at Brianna without seeing him," Frank shouts at Claire.
In 18th century, Jamie returns home only to be arrested again. He speaks to Lord John Grey (David Berry), an Ardsmuir Prison governor, about his wife. There's a shot teasing Jamie's one-night-stand with Geneva (Hannah James).
The video also shows Claire's attempt to find Jamie, with the help of Brianna (Sophie Skelton) and Roger (Richard Rankin). "20 years ago, I shut the door on the past. And it was the hardest thing I've ever done. I can't go through that again," Claire says.
Teasing Claire and Jamie's reunion, the video ends with a scene where Claire is visiting the printing press shop where Jamie is living under the alias Alex Malcolm.
"Outlander" season 3 is based on "Voyager", the third book in Diana Gabaldon's book series. Jamie suffers from the aftermath of his doomed last stand at the historic battle of Culloden, as well as the loss of Claire. Separated by continents and centuries, Claire and Jamie must find their way back to each other.
The time-crossing love story returns for the new season on Sunday, September 10 at 8 P.M. on Starz.
