Justin Toman, Pepsi's executive, has confirmed that the 'Toxic' hitmaker won't headline the football’s biggest show next year.

AceShowbiz - Sorry, folks, but Britney Spears won't be performing at Super Bowl next year. Following speculations claiming that the pop diva had "secret discussions" about headlining the show, an executive of Pepsi, a company which sponsors the performance, has dismissed the rumors. It has been confirmed that Britney, who performed at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2001, wouldn't return to the football’s biggest stage in 2018.

"I can tell you it's not Britney," Pepsi's sports marketing director Justin Toman said at VenuesNow Conference in Los Angeles on Wednesday, July 12. "We'll reveal in due time. Rumors always start around this time."

Earlier this week, New York Daily News reported that Britney had a discussion with the executive tied to the event. "Britney has made it clear to her team that it is a dream to perform at a Super Bowl," a source said. "She has the hits package and appeal to be a headliner."

Britney has been rumored to headline Super Bowl over the past few years. "Yes, I would probably do that," she said last year. Next year's game is scheduled to take place in Minneapolis on February 4. Lady GaGa rocked the halftime show this year.
