AceShowbiz - A ton of new images from "Black Panther" are unleashed in the newest issue of Entertainment Weekly. They show new snapshots of Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa, Lupita Nyong'o as Nakia, Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, Angela Bassett as Ramonda and Forest Whitaker as Zuri among others.
The film will follow the hero after the assassination of his father T'Chaka (John Kani), the previous king of Wakanda. "It [explores] his mourning process, his connection to why his father was killed, and feeling like he should have been able to do something about it," Boseman says. "All that ties into how he's going to rule."
Directed by Ryan Coogler ("Creed"), the movie is scheduled to come out Stateside on February 16, 2018. It marks Marvel's first black superhero movie, but "we could make five movies only about Panther and his world because it's so rich," says producer Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios.
