AceShowbiz - It seems like Doctor Strange will face a formidable foe in "Avengers: Infinity War". Some new set photos from the upcoming superhero flick have surfaced online, showing the 40-year-old British actor in character as the Sorcerer Supreme being attacked.

Completed with Doctor Strange's iconic gray streaks in his hair, Cumberbatch was seen getting tackled to the ground by a man in a CGI suit when filming a scene for the third installment of "The Avengers" movie series in Atlanta, Georgia on Wednesday, July 5.

It's unclear who the actor in the CGI suit was, but he had dots all over his face likely to create his character's look on screen. At one point, the two actors appeared to be screaming at each other, with Cumberbatch looking powerless as he did nothing when the other actor confronted him.

Earlier that day, Cumberbatch was pictured on set with co-star Mark Ruffalo. Sporting fake wound on his forehead, Cumberbatch was seen enjoying his drink as he appeared to be taking a break in between takes. Ruffalo, meanwhile, filmed a scene in which his character Bruce Banner seemingly caught a phone falling from the sky before proceeding to make a call.

"Avengers: Infinity War" is set to be released in theaters across the nation on May 4, 2018. Anthony and Joe Russo are directing the superhero flick that will also see the return of Robert Downey Jr., Tom Hiddleston, Chris Hemsworth, Elizabeth Olsen and Sebastian Stan among others.
