The 'Shake It Off' hitmaker resurfaces online to send a congratulatory video to Russell after he won MVP at the 2017 NBA Awards.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift unexpectedly resurfaced online on Monday, June 26 to send a congratulatory video to Russell Westbrook after he won MVP at the 2017 NBA Awards. In the video, Taylor was seen sporting short curly hair with bangs.

Wearing minimal makeup and a white sweater, Taylor said in the video, "Russell, it's Taylor. Remember? I was the one who taught you how to play basketball. I was the one who taught you to dribble, to shoot hoops. I remember the first time you beat me at basketball, I was very upset. And do you remember? You said, 'You just have to shake it off.' And I got an idea. So essentially we have each other to thank for these careers."

Taylor later clarified that the story was false and they had never actually met. The "Blank Space" hitmaker, however, was still thrilled for him. "That's a fake story but I wish it were the truth because you are amazing," she added, "You are the MVP! I'm so happy for you and sending you the biggest hug ever. Congratulations!"

The video was posted on Oklahoma City Thunder's official Twitter account.
