It is replaced by 'Lesbian Wedding' episode after a gunman opened fire in Alexandria during a Republican Congressional baseball team practice in the morning before he was shot dead by police.

AceShowbiz - NBC has decided to postpone an episode of "The Carmichael Show", which is set to air Wednesday night, June 14, in the wake of shooting at an Alexandria, VA park happened in the morning on that day. Titled "Shoot Up-able", the episode in question tells a story about a deadly mall shooting.

The episode chronicles the emotional fallout of a deadly mall shooting, which Jerrod (Jerrod Carmichael) witnessed. It did not depict the shooting. Jerrod said in an interview last month, "The family tries to get Jerrod to talk about his feelings about it."

The episode is replaced with the "Lesbian Wedding" episode, which was initially scheduled to air June 28. "The Carmichael Show", which routinely examines and debates topics like gun control, transgender acceptance and sexual assault, examines issues such as body image and attractiveness. As for "Shoot Up-Able", NBC has not scheduled a new air date.

A gunman, angry at President Donald Trump and Republicans, took aim at Republican law makers in Virginia on Wednesday morning during a practice for an annual charity baseball game. Four were injured, including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, while the gunman was shot dead by police. The game will go on as scheduled Thursday night at Washington's Nationals Park and air on C-SPAN. Meanwhile, a UPS employee in San Francisco shot three people at a delivery facility and injured two more, before killing himself.

"The Carmichael Show" season 3 airs on Wednesdays at 9 P.M. on NBC.
