The 'Firework' hitmaker was surprised when the a capella group suddenly walked into her backstage room while singing 'Chained to the Rhythm'.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry couldn't hide her excitement when a capella group Pentatonix made a surprise appearance during her 72-hour Witness World Wide live stream. The 32-year-old songstress was getting ready for a concert in a backstage room when Kirstin Maldonado, Scott Hoying and Mitch Grassi walked inside while singing "Chained to the Rhythm".

Katy, who was getting a makeup, beamed when she looked at them. The singer then joined the group to belt out some verses on the hit song and moved her body a little with them. "Oh my God," Katy gushed after the performance. She then greeted them and asked the trio to introduce themselves to the viewers.

"This is wile," Katy jokingly said. "I was like, in a barber shop, getting my hair trimmed, and walks Pentatonix." Having fun with the group, Katy asked them about their music and told them a "traumatizing" story about her audition to join theater group in high school.

There were so many things going on during the live stream to celebrate Katy's fifth studio album "Witness". She had a therapy, during which she admitted to having suicidal thoughts. She also ranked her famous ex-boyfriends John Mayer, Orlando Bloom and Diplo in sex department. The pop star also made headlines after she accidentally flashed her butt while getting a massage.
