See Robert Downey Jr. as 'Coolest Mentor Ever' in New 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Featurette
Movie

The featurette shows new scenes from the movie as well as commentaries from Downey Jr. and Tom Holland, who sees Tony Stark as a big brother.

AceShowbiz - Robert Downey Jr. has taken to his Twitter account to share new "Spider-Man: Homecoming" featurette. The footage offers a better look at Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark as the mentor of Tom Holland's Peter Parker. "As mentors go, Peter could have done worse---by picking anyone but ME!" writes Downey Jr. in the caption.

The video opens with a tagline which reads, "Coolest. Mentor. Ever," which no doubt refers to Tony. It seems like in the upcoming movie, Tony wants to train Peter as best as he can, to make sure that Peter will be a worthy Avenger. "[Peter Parker] is trying to prove himself to Tony that he is ready to be an Avenger," says Holland.

Some new scenes are later glimpsed, including a scene where Tony, dressing as Iron Man, reveals that he puts everything in Spidey's suit to keep a close eye on him. "How did you find me? You put a tracker in my suit?" asks Spidey, to which Tony replies, "I put everything in your suit, including this heater."

Holland later explains that Tony is like a big brother to Peter. "I saw that relationship as, like, a big brother relationship," he says. His commentary is followed with a hilarious scene in which Tony says, "Don't do anything I would do. And definitely don't do anything I wouldn't do."

Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark. Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine-distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man-but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" is set to hit U.S. theaters on July 7.
