The 25-year-old English heartthrob has signed a deal with RCA to work on his solo project while remaining with Syco following One Direction hiatus.

AceShowbiz - Following his bandmates' successful solo careers this year, Louis Tomlinson has hinted that new solo music from him will arrive soon by announcing a record deal with Syco and RCA. It has been confirmed that the One Direction star has signed a deal with RCA as his label in the U.S. while remaining with Simon Cowell's Syco label back in the U.K.

Louis told The Sun, "I'm very happy to have signed. I'm excited to be continuing my relationship with Syco, and also working with the brilliant team at RCA in the the U.S. I've been working really hard in the studio and can't wait to show you what I've been writing. As always, I'd like to thank the fans for their unbelievable support."

After Harry Styles signed with Columbia Records, and Niall Horan and Liam Payne joined Capitol Records, Louis is now the only member of the group who works with Simon Cowell. Ironically, he will be a labelmate of his former bandmate Zayn Malik, who signed with RCA in July 2015, just months after his departure from the group.

"It's no secret Simon was upset when the other guys went to different labels but he has always been closest to Louis," an insider previously claimed. "They have worked together very closely in the past 18 months on various projects, so staying loyal was a no-brainer for him."
