The 'Late Show' host finds 'some pretty weird stuff' in the former FBI director's pre-written testimony, including one in which the President referred to his Russia scandal as 'the cloud.'

AceShowbiz - Donald Trump's decision to fire James Comey as FBI director has backfired. As Comey is set to testify at Senate Intelligence Committee hearing on Thursday, June 8, his opening statement was released to the public on Wednesday and revealed potentially damaging information about the President.

After reading Comey's pre-written statement, Stephen Colbert took to his late-night show to point out some weird stuff he found in the statement. "Comey first met with Trump on January 6 to let him know about so-called 'salacious intelligence,' " Colbert said, dubbing the intelligence as "pee pee tape."

"He agreed to the meeting alone to minimize the potential embarrassment of the president," he continued, noting, "Remember, this was back when we thought it was possible for him (Trump) to feel embarrassed."

Copying Trump's voice, Colbert said, "Comey writes that Trump said he had nothing to do with Russia, had not been involved with hookers in Russia." He went on reading details of Comey's awkward meeting with Trump following the inauguration. "It turned out to be just the two of them, seated at a small oval table," he added.

Colbert commented, "Oh, c'mon, that's the oldest trick in the book. You invite your FBI director over for a movie, saying it's going to be a 'group thing.' When he shows up, it's just the two of you. Can't make Netflix work so, you know... so you obstruct justice."

Comey also reveals that Trump told him, "I need loyalty, I expect loyalty." Comey describes his response to the request, "I didn't move, speak, or change my facial expression in any way during the awkward silence that followed." Colbert mockingly said, "Basically, Comey treated Trump like the T-Rex in Jurassic Park. It makes sense, they both have the same sized hands."

Another "weird stuff" Colbert found in Comey's statement was the fact that Trump referred to his Russia scandal as "the cloud" over his administration. Colbert enthused, "Mr. President, that's not a cloud. Meteorologists call that a s**tstorm."
