FBI Profilers Hunt Paul Bettany in First 'Manhunt: Unabomber' Explosive Trailer

AceShowbiz - Discovery has released first trailer of its scripted anthology miniseries, "Manhunt: Unabomber", starring Paul Bettany as Ted Kaczynski. The eight-part series focuses on the true story of Kaczynski, known as Unabomber, a serial killer, domestic terrorist and self-professed anarchist.

"A terorrist called Unabomber is planning to blow up an airliner sometimes during the next six days," says a voice in the beginning of the poignant trailer. "You figure out the philosophy, you figure out the man, you can crack the code," FBI Agent and criminal profiler Jim Fitzgerald (Sam Worthington) says, looking determined to catch the "smart and extremely precise" criminal.

"All I have to do is write your name on a box. And I can reach out and touch anyone, anywhere. When the box comes with your name on it, you can't even imagine doing anything other than obey," the Harvard-educated serial bomber threatens. However, Fitzegerald eventually manages to bust him at his remote cabin in Montana, before the notorious criminal is sentenced to a life prison.

Also starring on the series are Chris Noth, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Jane Lynch, Mark Duplass, Michael Nouri, Brian d'Arcy James, Brian d'Arcy James, Elizabeth Reaser, Ben Weber, Jeremy Bobb, Lynn Collins and Brian F. O'Byrne. Greg Yaitanes directs the series as well as serves as as showrunner and exec producer. "Manhunt: Unabomber" is created and executive produced by Andrew Sodroski.

"Manhunt: Unabomber" premieres on August 1 at 9 P.M. on Discovery.
