AceShowbiz - Piers Morgan has apologized to Ariana Grande after he criticized her for leaving the U.K. immediately after the bombing attack at her Manchester concert last month. The British TV journalist took to Twitter during Ariana's One Love Manchester concert on Sunday, June 4 to send his apology for questioning why the songstress didn't visit her injured fans in hospital right after the attack.

"I misjudged you, @ArianaGrande & I apologise," Piers wrote along with a photo of Ariana performing with the children's choir during her benefit show. "You're an admirable young woman & this is a magnificent night. Respect," he praised her, adding a thumbs-up emoji and the hashtag #OneLoveManchester.

Piers sending his apology to Ariana came after he tweeted that the 23-year-old singer should have personally visited her injured fans in hospital like the Queen did shortly after the bombing. The 52-year-old sparked controversy after Katy Perry tweeted an image of the monarch chatting to an injured teen.

The "Bon Appetit" songstress wrote alongside the photo, "God bless The Queen and her kind heart." The "Good Morning Britain" host seized on Katy's tweet, replying, "Agreed. Might have been nice if @ArianaGrande had stayed to do the same."

Ariana did pay a visit to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital upon her return to the U.K. on Friday, June 2 as she prepared for her benefit concert, which was expected to raise millions of pounds. Her tribute show also featured Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Black Eyed Peas, Take That and Robbie Williams among others.
