The 24-year-old songstress reportedly hits the studio together with the Moroccan-born rapper for her upcoming album which will be released this year.

AceShowbiz - Demi Lovato's new album may come sooner than we thought. Although she has been pretty quiet about her new music, she is seemingly quite busy on the studio, working on the follow-up to 2015's "Confident". The former Disney star reportedly works with rapper French Montana on the upcoming effort as she recently appeared on his Snapchat account.

In the video shared by French, Demi was seen in a studio, strumming a guitar while smiling to the camera. The studio session came after the pop star's collaboration with EDM trio Cheat Codes on "No Promises". It looks like Demi wants to focus more on her solo project now as it has been almost two years since she released her last full-length album.

Demi's studio session with the 32-year-old rapper came as no surprise because the "Heart Attack" hitmaker recently revealed that she wants to take R&B route on her new solo album. "I'm releasing an album later this year, so my fans can look forward to that. It's more soulful and I want to go more R&B with it," she shared.

"I actually want to go a totally different way with my album," Demi added. "I want to go more soulful, so we'll see what that ends up turning out like. I'm still in the process of writing and finding the inspiration behind it, so we'll see."
