AceShowbiz - Hailee Steinfeld might be joining the ever expanding franchise of "The Transformers". The "Pitch Perfect 2" actress is reportedly in negotiations to play a key character in the upcoming spin-off that focuses on the fans-favorite Autobot Bumblebee.
The storyline for the movie is still kept under tight wraps. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "The Edge of Seventeen" actress is expected to play a human character who is described as "a tomboy who also holds a job as a mechanic after school."
"Kubo and the Two Strings" helmer Travis Knight is hired to direct the movie. The screenplay is written by Christina Hodson and Lorenzo Di Bonaventure. Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg serve as producers. The feature film is set to hit theaters across the nation on June 8, 2018.
