When asked if she works on a new music or an iTunes playlist with her beau, the 24-year-old songstress says, 'Probably not. I can't give those people what they want, I'm sorry. It's not true.'

AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez has left her fans down. The former Disney darling literally just broke every fan's heart when she addressed rumors of her and The Weeknd working on new music together.

"So, what's up with The Weeknd, Selena? You guys doing music together?" a host of 103.3 AMP Radio's "The TJ Show" asked Gomez via a phone call. "No, no we're not," she responded with a laugh. Not happy with Gomez's response, the host asked for the second time if the singer worked on a new music or an iTunes playlist with The Weeknd. "Probably not. I can't give those people what they want, I'm sorry. It's not true," the "Kill Em With Kindness" hitmaker said.

The collaboration rumors began swirling last week after a track titled "In Her Element" appeared on producer Max Martin's now-deleted entry on his Wikipedia page, where The Weeknd was listed as a featured artist and Nicki Minaj was a co-writer. According to a screengrab obtained by ELLE UK, the song was listed as Gomez's upcoming track off her much-anticipated album.

It was previously reported that Gomez and The Weeknd had been working on new music together. "Part of the reason Selena is on the road with The Weeknd is to finish up the tracks they have been working on together," a source shared. "Selena hopes at least one of the few songs they have been working on together will be ready for release within the next two months. Expect a sexy, sultry, slow love song from them soon."
