The royal housekeeper named Sadie Rice earned 35,000 poundsterling a year, but decided to leave after 'the job's demands got too much.'

AceShowbiz - Prince William and Kate Middleton's royal housekeeper Sadie Rice has quit her £35,000-a-year job. According to The Sun, a source from the Queen's Sandringham Estate said that Rice decided to quit after the job became "too demanding."

"Sadie's a hard worker but the job's demands got too much, even for her," said the source. The resignation came as William and Kate prepared to move from their current primary residence in Norfolk's Amner Hall to Kensington Palace. "They wanted her to spend more time at Kensington Palace and her work was increasing all the time," the source added.

The source went on saying, "She wasn't having a normal life outside work. Sadie's serving her notice and it seems nothing will change her mind. It's their loss."

Rice was reportedly responsible for cleaning, shopping, cooking and laundry at ten-bedroom Anmer Hall. She worked for the royal family for less than two years. Before working for William and Kate, Rice worked for Prince Haakon of Norway and his wife Mette-Marit in Oslo, where she spent five years.

Rice's departure allegedly was a "blow" to William and Kate since their kids George and Charlotte were fond of her. "They will regret losing Sadie as the right people aren't easy to find," the source said.
