Alamo Drafthouse is hosting 'No Guys Allowed' screening of the Gal Gadot-starring superhero movie, which has made men furious.

AceShowbiz - Alamo Drafthouse, a movie theater in Austin, Texas, recently announced its "No Guys Allowed" screening of "Wonder Woman". In addition to inviting only female audience, the theater wrote in an announcement that everyone from venue staf would be female during the screening.

"Apologies, gentlemen, but we're embracing our girl power and saying 'No Guys Allowed' for one special night at the Alamo Ritz. And when we say 'People Who Identify As Women Only,' we mean it. Everyone working at this screening -- venue staff, projectionist, and culinary team -- will be female. So lasso your geeky girlfriends together and grab your tickets to this celebration of one of the most enduring and inspiring characters ever created," so read the announcement.

Within a matter of hours, the women-only screening was sold out, but some people are not happy about it. The women-only screening has enraged fanboys who weren't invited to the event. Taking to the Internet, the furious guys claimed hypocrisy.

"Could you imagine the anger and outrage from the liberal staff of Alamo if Trump held an all male screening at the White House or even if another theatre did an all-male screening?!" Bradley Lucio commented on the announcement. Bill Fairbrother added, "Have you ever hosted a men's only showing of any film?" Ryan Tabatabai tweeted, "I hope someone sues this is discrimination based on sex."

Responding to the reactions to the "Wonder Woman" screening, Alamo Drafthouse creative manager Morgan Hendrix says in a statement to Mashable, "We are very excited to present select, women-only 'Wonder Woman' screenings at Alamo Drafthouse. That providing an experience where women truly reign supreme has incurred the wrath of trolls only serves to deepen our belief that we're doing something right."

Alamo Drafthouse even plans to bring the program to other locations. "As a result, we will be expanding this program across the country and inviting women everywhere to join us as we celebrate this iconic superheroine in our theaters," Hendrix adds.

"Wonder Woman" stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince a.k.a. the titular superhero, who leaves her home in Themyscira to stop a massive conflict raging in the outside world. Directed by Patty Jenkins, the movie also stars Chris Pine, David Thewlis, Robin Wright, Lucy Davis, Danny Huston, Ewan Bremner, Elena Anaya and Lisa Loven Kongsli. It is set to open in theaters across the nation on June 2.
