Florida Georgia Line to Perform With The Chainsmokers at the 2017 CMT Music Awards

The collaborative performance, which was announced on Wednesday, May 24, will mark the country duo and the EDM group's first live collaboration on TV.

AceShowbiz - This year's CMT Music Awards will be a star-studded event with a lot of show-stopping performances. Florida Georgia Line will team up with EDM duo The Chainsmokers to rock the stage at the upcoming event, possibly to perform their duet "Last Day Alive". Other collaborations include Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood, and Lady Antebellum and Earth, Wind & Fire.

The unexpected collaborations will mark a lot of firsts on the CMT stage. The joint performance of Florida Georgia Line and The Chainsmokers would be their first live collaboration on TV, while Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood will perform together for the first time ever on any CMT stage. Other performers who will take the stage include Blake Shelton, Brett Eldredge, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett.

Earlier this month, the nominees for the upcoming event were announced. Keith Urban, Thomas Rhett and Kelsea Ballerini lead the pack with four nominations each. Meanwhile, Carrie Underwood receives three nods this year.

Fans can vote for their favorites via CMT.com until June 5. The top seven finalists for the biggest award, Video of the Year, will be revealed Wednesday morning, June 7. Fans will be able to vote live for the winner.

Hosted by Charles Esten, the 2017 CMT Music Awards will air live from Nashville’s Music City Center on June 7 at 8 P.M. EST.
