Should Muschietti be really on board 'Justice League Dark', which is also known as 'Dark Universe', the movie may offer a horror vibe as the director is well known for his horror specialties.

AceShowbiz - "Dark Universe" ("Justice League Dark") director Doug Liman has left the project due to scheduling conflicts. According to Variety, the search for a replacement is already underway. Shortly after the announcement, report surfaces that "It" director Andres Muschietti is currently eyed to replace Liman.

Should Muschietti be really on board the project, it is assumed that "Justice League Dark" will have a horror vibe, judging from the fact that Muschietti has specialties in the genre. Muschietti's horror movie "Mama" earned critical praise back in 2013 and he was later hired to direct Stephen King's horror story "It".

Before leaving the project, Liman himself told CinemaBlend that "Justice League Dark" would have "real horror elements" from pop culture in the past. "It's going to have real horror elements, for sure. I love early horror films, be it 'The Exorcist', or 'Carrie', 'The Omen'. In the same way that 'Bourne Identity', I went back to the '70s paranoia," said Liman.

"Justice League Dark" centers on a dark "Justice League" team, which consists of John Constantine, Swamp Thing, Deadman, Zatanna and Etrigan the Demon. The movie is included in D.C. Cinematic Universe, with Scott Rudin producing and Michael Gilio writing the script.
