'The Predator' and 'Alita: Battle Angel' Promo Posters Are Spotted at Licensing Expo

Rather than giving away real images from the movie, the posters feature quotes spoken by characters from 'The Predator' and 'Alita: Battle Angel' respectively.

AceShowbiz - The promo posters for "The Predator" and "Alita: Battle Angel" are spotted at the 2017 Licensing Expo in Las Vegas. While the posters don't reveal much about the movies, they feature character quotes which may give fans ideas about what to anticipate from each of the films.

The photos of the posters make their way out via Collider, with "The Predator" image featuring quotes from Olivia Munn's Casey and "Alita" poster showing the quotes from Rosa Salazar's titular character. "You are one beautiful mother #&@|percent|!S," reads "The Predator" poster. The "Alita" one, meanwhile, reads, "I do not stand by in the presence of evil."

"The Predator" plot detail is still kept under wraps, but the movie is said to be set in suburbia. Director Shane Black has revealed that the film will be rated R and lead actor Boyd Holbrook dubbed the film "horror, science-fiction and a western." Also starring in the movie are Keegan-Michael Key, Sterling K. Brown, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Thomas Jane, Alfie Allen and Augusto Aguilera. The movie has started filming and will hit U.S. theaters on February 9, 2018.

"Alita: Battle Angel" imagines a post-apocalyptic world in 26th century, where society endures technological dark age after a massive war. The story focuses on Alita, a cyborg with an organic human brain and an artificial body. She's rescued from junkyard by a scientist who later becomes her surrogate father and helps her explore her mysterious past.

Also starring in the movie are, Michelle Rodriguez as Gelda, Jennifer Connelly as one of the film's villains, Mahershala Ali as Vector and a man who rigs Motorball combat matches, Jackie Earle Haley as a monstrous cyborg, Christoph Waltz as Doctor Dyson Ido, Ed Skrein as Zapan and Keean Johnson as Hugo. The movie is set to hit U.S. theaters on July 20, 2018.
