AceShowbiz - "Dancing with the Stars" has finally crowned the winner of season 24 after weeks of grueling rehearsals that led to some injuries. David Ross & Lindsay Arnold, Normani Kordei & Valentin Chmerkovskiy and Rashad Jennings & Emma Slater were the three finalists, but only one pair would walk home with the Mirror Ball trophy.

The Tuesday, May 23 finale was kicked off with an outdoor carnival and a look back at the journeys of the Final 3. The pros, joined by Heather Morris, performed a number and some past winners like Bindi Irwin and Alfonso Ribeiro returned to discuss the Final 3.

The eliminated contestants also returned to reprise their favorite dance. In a segment dedicated to Nick Viall, the former "The Bachelor" star revealed that he had an extreme man crush on Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Hailee Steinfeld, OneRepublic and Lady Antebellum delivered musical performances and there was a sneak peek of ABC's "Dirty Dancing (2017)" featuring Nicole Scherzinger, before the Final 3 performed the 24-Hour Fusion Challenge.

David and Lindsay performed Foxtrot/Salsa. The judges were clearly being nice with Len Goodman calling it "a proper fusion" and the other judges complimenting him for his entertaining performances and his pure heart. David got 36 out of 40 points.

Normani and Val performed Argentine Tango/Foxtrot, further proving that they deserved to be in the finals. Julianne Hough said it was flawless and the Fifth Harmony singer got another perfect score of 40.

Rashad and Emma danced a fusion of Cha Cha and Tango. Bruno Tonioli said Rashad was like "a rising star getting brighter and brighter and going Super Nova." Len echoed the sentiment, but added that the hold wasn't tight enough. Rashad earned 39 points.

OneRepublic performed once again before the final results were announced. Normani & Val finished third, leaving David and Rashad as the final two contestants vying for the winning title. Rashad and his pro partner Emma were eventually announced as the winner, meaning that David and Lindsay finished in the runner-up place.

Host Tom Bergeron asked Rashad after he was presented with the trophy, "So you never won anything?" The NFL star replied, "Yeah, that turned around right now!" It also marks Emma's first win on "DWTS" since she joined the show in season 17.
