'The Flash' Season 3 Finale Confirms the Twisted Theory, Reveals Real Victim
TV

Also in the last episode of the season, another major character makes a big sacrifice to save the city after taking down Savitar.

AceShowbiz - What you see on "The Flash" is not always what really happens. Well, at least this applies to the latest twist in the season 3 finale of The CW's series. Following last week's episode which saw Iris West being stabbed by Savitar, this week's outing reveals that she isn't dead.

[SPOILER ALERT!] Instead, it's H.R. Wells who died. The episode confirms a fan theory that H.R. used his face-changing technology to switch place with Iris after Savitar took her. Hence, Iris was safe in H.R.'s hat, while he's the one who was stabbed by Savitar.

But there's no time to mourn since Savitar stole the speed force bazooka. After his failed attempt to convince future Barry to rejoin team Flash, the present Barry had a showdown with Savitar. Barry managed to take Savitar's suit and vibrated it to pieces. It became a more equal fight, but Savitar still had Cisco and Caitlin/Killer Frost. Savitar suddenly went down and we saw Iris with a gun.

Things looked okay for a while, until there were earthquakes and damage all over the city, because the prison in the speed force was lacking its occupant following the death of Savitar. Barry then sacrificed himself to the speed force to save the city.

Will Barry return to Central City and how he will be retrieved? You have to wait for the answer until "The Flash" returns for its fourth season this fall.
