AceShowbiz - CBS has released a slew of trailers for its new shows for fall fare, which include "The Big Bang Theory" half-hour spin-off "Young Sheldon" and dramas "Seal Team" and "S.W.A.T.". The network also unveils a trailer for comedy "Me, Myself & I".
Single-camera comedy "Young Sheldon" follows 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper (Iain Armitage) living with his family in East Texas and going to high school. Zoe Perry will play Sheldon's God-fearing mother. It is such an interesting casting since the character is portrayed on the flagship series by Perry's real-life mom Laurie Metcalf. The series is set for Thursdays at 8.30 P.M. slot.
Starring David Boreanaz, "Seal Team" revolves around the professional and personal lives of the most elite unit of Navy SEALs as they train, plan, and execute the most dangerous, high-stakes missions our country can ask of them. The series joins Wednesdays lineup at 9 P.M. slot, pushing back "Criminal Minds" to 10 P.M.
Another new drama on the network, "S.W.A.T.", follows a locally born and bred S.W.A.T. Sergeant, played by Shemar Moore, who is torn between loyalty to the streets and duty to his fellow officers when he's tasked to run a specialized tactical unit that is the last stop in law enforcement in Los Angeles. Inspired by the film of the same name. "S.W.A.T." is set for Thursdays at 10 P.M.
Family comedy "9JKL" was inspired by time in Mark Feuerstein's adult life when he lived in apartment 9K in the building he grew up in, sandwiched between his doting parents' apartment, 9J, and his brother, sister-in-law, and their baby's apartment, 9L, and his attempts to set boundaries with his intrusive but well-meaning family. "9JKL" airs on Mondays at 8.30 P.M.
"Me, Myself & I" joins "Young Sheldon" and "9JKL" as the comedy block for CBS' fall lineup. The single-camera comedy examines one man's life over a 50-year span. The show will focus on three distinct periods in his life-as a 14-year-old in 1991 (Jack Dylan Grazer), a 40-year-old in present day (Bobby Moynihan), and a 65-year-old in 2042 (John Larroquette). The comedy is set for Mondays at 9.30 P.M.
