Rumor has it, Emma, who starred in "The Favourite" with Joe, introduced Taylor to him. She believed that her co-star would be a perfect match for the "Shake It Off" hitmaker. "Taylor and Emma are very close friends, it was Emma who introduced them as she thought he would be perfect for her," a source told The Standard. "Filming for 'The Favourite' started in March and the couple were introduced very soon afterwards. Emma played matchmaker."
Gigi was also claimed to have played a role in Taylor's relationship with Joe. The girlfriend of Zayn Malik and "The Sense of an Ending" actor had a photo shoot together for Vogue in September 2016. At that time, Taylor had just split from Tom Hiddleston. According to E! News, Gigi later helped them to get closer.
Taylor and Joe were reported to be secretly dating as the "Wildest Dream" songstress tried so hard to keep her relationship from the public eyes.
