"Bad Liar" is reportedly a song Selena co-wrote with Justin Tranter, Julia Michaels and Ian Kirkpatrick. It's said to sample a classic '80s pop song and is definitely not a diss track, as many people may have guessed from the title.
Prior to this, Selena surprised fans when she teased the new single with three photos she posted on Instagram. The snaps show "Bad Liar" written over window blinds with red and purple paint. Although she left them uncaptioned, fans could already guess that it's about new song.
