First Han Solo Movie Set Photo Alludes to Familiar Planet

A new set photo from Han Solo movie has arrived. Obtained by Spanish site Prensa Imperial, the picture, which is taken on the filming set in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands, features intriguing structures which look like those of planet Tatooine in "Star Wars: A New Hope" and "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace".

The translation of the site reads, "The preparations for the upcoming movie production are getting more advanced as you can see from the photo we are showing you of the sets for the Han Solo spin-off."



In "A New Hope", Tatooine was a desert planet where Han conducted his criminal business. Considering that Han Solo movie will chronicle Han's life before he becomes the impressive smuggler, Tatooine may be one of the places where he starts establishing his reputation.

There is also a theory that the photo may refer to Jakku, another desert planet which was featured in "". Chances are Jakku may also be the place where young Han Solo starts his criminal business, but the truth remains to be seen.

Like blockbuster "", Han Solo movie will focus on the event before "Star Wars: A New Hope". Disney CEO Bob Iger has revealed that Han Solo film will see Han's life when he is 18 to 24. The movie will also explain how Han obtains his Millennium Falcon and how he meets Chewbacca.
