Movie

The movie from A24 follows Dunst's Theresa, who is trapped between dreams and reality as the effect of consuming cannabinoid drugs.

AceShowbiz - A24 has released the first trailer for "Woodshock" starring Kirsten Dunst. The psychological drama sees Dunst as Theresa, who ingests powerful cannabinoid drugs after suffering a profound loss.

"Remember when we used to play in the woods together?" says Theresa in the first part of the video, which sees her wandering in the woods and leaning on a tree. "I got lost in one summer. When I turned around, you were gone," she says.

The psychedelic visuals in the trailer represent Theresa's experience when using drugs, teasing "a hypnotic exploration of isolation, paranoia, and grief that exists in a dream-world all its own." She is split between dreams and reality as she struggles to fix her fractured emotional state.

A24 has also released an eerie and breathtaking poster for the movie, which features Dunst's Theresa floating amid the woods.

"Woodshock" marks the first feature film debut of fashion designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy. The siblings once worked in the costume departement of critically acclaimed "Black Swan", crafting the ballet costume worn by Oscar winner Natalie Portman.

As for "Woodshock", the movie will hit U.S. theaters on September 15 and will also star Joe Cole, Lorelei Linklater, Steph DuVall and Pilou Asbaek.
