'American Crime Story' Adds Max Greenfield in Versace Season, New Photo Reveals Official Title

Max joins Edgar Ramirez, Penelope Cruz, Ricky Martin and Darren Criss in the upcoming season three, which is now called 'The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story'.

AceShowbiz - "American Crime Story" season three has added Max Greenfield to its growing cast. The additional casting was announced via executive producer Ryan Murphy's newly-made Instagram account.

Ryan, who joined Instagram on Friday, May 5, took to the photo-sharing website to share a photo of Darren Criss and the "New Girl" actor taken during the filming of "American Crime Story" upcoming season. The new season chronicles the story of famed fashion icon Gianni Versace's 1997 murder by serial killer Andrew Cunanan. "Do The Hustle. @darrencriss and @maxgreenfield on the set of The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story," wrote the executive producer in the caption.

It is currently unknown what role that Max will be playing on the anthology series. Max previously appeared on "American Horror Story: Hotel". He played a character named Gabriel, a drug addict who was raped by the horrifying Addiction Demon when he was at the Cortez.

Ryan's Instagram post also revealed the official title of the upcoming season. Previously known as "Versace: American Crime Story", the upcoming season has a new title which is "The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story".

"The Assassination of Gianni Versace" stars Edgar Ramirez as Gianni, Penelope Cruz as his sister Donatella Versace and Ricky Martin as Antonio D'Amico, Gianni's longtime partner.

Based on the book Vulgar Favors by Maureen Orth, "The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story" is slated to debut in 2018 on FX.
