The 'Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets' actress has taken to Instagram account to say that she's done with society's definition of beauty.

AceShowbiz - Cara Delevingne is seemingly done with society telling people about how they should look. The actress took to her Instagram account to share a photo of herself with bald head, which was taken on "Life in a Year" filming set, and expressed her disappointment in the caption.

"Its exhausting to be told what beauty should look like. I am tired of society defining beauty for us," wrote Delevingne. "Strip away the clothes, Wipe Off the make up, cut off the hair. Remove all the material possessions. Who are we? How are we defining beauty? What do we see as beautiful?"

An hour earlier, Delevingne shared a photo from Met Gala, which featured her silver bald head and the Swarovski crystals on it. Along with the picture, the actress shared an encouraging thought about beauty. "The more we embrace who we are as people and rely less on our physical attributes, the more empowered we become," she wrote in the caption. "Beauty shouldn't be so easily defined. It is limitless."

Delevingne shaved her head completely to fully get into her character in romantic young adult film "Life in a Year", in which she portrays a woman dying of cancer and stars opposite Jaden Smith. The film follows a 17-year-old boy (Smith) who, after learning his girlfriend is dying, sets out to give her their entire life together, in the year she has left.

In a recent interview with Glamour, Delevingne said that she tried to use her celebrity status to support women. "As women, we have to build each other up, not bring each other down," she said. "Ever since I started my career modeling, a lot has changed, but there's so much that we have to do."
