AceShowbiz - Rihanna posted a screencap of magazine articles listing her as the best-dressed at Met Gala on Instagram on Monday, May 2, and that post might be directed to Nicki Minaj. RiRi shared the picture after Nicki posted a fake list of 23 publications listing herself as best-dressed at the event.
The "Anaconda" rapper posted the list originated from a fan account earlier that night, but the list turned out to be untrue. Rihanna then showed who was the real winner by posting an actual list. The "Disturbia" songstress was named "the queen of Met Gala" by numerous publications, including Vogue, Elle, Time and Harper's Bazaar. She simply captioned the picture, "Casual."
Fans quickly flooded her comment section to say that she deserved the title. "Casually slaying the entire world," one fan said. Another said, "Nicki might want to take some notes."
As if to correct her mistake, Nicki posted a screencap of a Vogue article praising her dress shortly after. "Thank you, Vogue. Best compliment a girl could get. We HAD to figure out a way to honor Rei Kawakubo on her special night," she wrote in the caption.
However, fans still believe that Rihanna was "the queen." One fan commented, "Kkk perfect ilusion kkk we know, God and World know... Rihanna is best met gala." Another said, "We all know Rih won."
Other fans tried to defend the "Starships" hitmaker by saying that she was still beautiful no matter what. "Yes, you are super hot," a fan of Nicki said. "You slay," another praised her.
Rihanna nailed the theme of this year's Met Gala, which was an ode to Commes des Garcons founder Rei Kawakubo, in a floral-inspired dress from the designer's Fall 2016 RTW runway. Nicki attended the red carpet wearing a black-and-red H&M dress with Kawakubo's face attached on the waistband.
